I've heard ammonia works well to remove residue from mop n' glo or similar products that apparently cause dullness after a while. Personally, I use a steam cleaner. You fill it with water like an iron and place a cotton cover over it, then turn it on to heat. It rests on a special pad to protect the floor. A light tells you it's ready and you mop the floor with steam and the pad traps loosened dirt. Reminds me of using a steam iron. You can wash the pad refill if needed. When done the pad can go in the washer.

Have you tried a liquid wax? This would shine them up temporarily. You could use a product such as mop & glow.

There are products available at Home Depot or Lowes, to solve this problem. Ask them which one they would recommend.
