im thinking of getting one.are they hard work?

The word bonsai means small potted tree. It could be any species of tree, so the care needed will vary greatly depending on what you get. Make sure it doesn't need a dormant period if you are going to keep it inside. Many of the trees used for bonsai are from temperate climates and people don't understand why they only live for so long on their desk.

I think they are fairly easy to keep up - I want one too but don't have one

I wouldn't call it hard work but it does need regular attention atleast a few minutes twice a week.

Yes I did, and No they aren't difficult. They help create a peaceful surrounding. Kind of like bamboo

My brother bought me one for Christmas a few years back. I killed it in 2 months. It was just too much for me, which was a shame because I really liked it!

got one for a birthday present and which i think - by the way - is an awesomw idea for a gift. got it in my room and all i do is water it each morning and reap the benefits.
