We found a leaf that has 7 points and it doesn't look like any pictures of marijuana that we've found on the internet and we don't want to assume anything.

Yes there are but I wouldn't know the names for them. I've seem pot looking leaves on trees and plants that were not pot. If you look at enough pics of weed you should be able to tell the difference. Don't just look at the leaves but how the plant grows.

Cassava plants have 7 leaves. They are very similar to marijuana leaves except they generally have smooth edges and may have slightly red stems.
Also codliver oil plants? I haven't checked how many leaves they have but the general shape is similar.

Marijuana has a very distinct look. If the plant you found does not look like what you saw on the internet then it probably isn't. If you are asking because you are concerned about getting in trouble for having it, I would just pull it and forget about it.

Could be you people don't know what marajuana looks like? Might very well be a Abution species/cultivar. They have larginsh yellow flowers and palmate leaves. Called a flowering maple, but not related to maples much. Or maybe its a male pot plant. sometimes the flowers do look abit yellow, but are tiny (1/8th inch).
