Don't you find they love paint and fabrics and it's very tacky? Or would you sign up for the show just to see how creative they would get in your home?

HECK NO!!!! I wouldn't do that to my neighbor. There hasn't been a show that I've seen yet that I like anything they did. I just watched one yesterday where they re-did this couple's kitchen and it was awful and the couple was really mad and they were saying how that Trading Spaces was insensitive to what they wanted and the wife started bawling and they ended up re-painting the whole kitchen. It was a trip. I would never want to go through that!!

Absolutely not! I wouldn't let anyone into decorate my home if I didn't have some say in what they were doing. I've seen too many shows where someone was adamant that they don't do something --- and the designers always do what they want.
You get what you pay for on one of those shows. They're spending $1000 to remodel one whole room - all they do is paint, reupholster your furniture if you're lucky, or if you're not so lucky, they buy old thrift store furniture and try to pass it off as brand new.

I use to think this would be a great idea, then I saw a report on the news about how these shows only show the up sides. Lots of times there are so many things left half finished, like tiles not grouted, and very sloppy paint jobs.
So, nope...wouldn't do it.

No way would I let trading spaces do that to my house!! Like 90% of the outcomes look cheap and tacky as you said. UNLESS, the designer with red curly hair was doing my room, then I would let HER do it. Her designs look very expensive and I always love them!

**** NO!!! People's taste seems to be in their azzes anymore. Last thing I need in some total stranger, neighbor or not, coming into my home and fu-king it up with a bunch of bullshiznit. Not thanks...I'll do my decorating myself!!!

No thanks, I prefer to be in control of what goes on in my own home. Their creativity may be nice from them, but they don't have to live in the house. If they got it all wrong, it would be a disaster.

It would be fun, although I would burn my house down before I would let Hildi in! Vern always did fantastic rooms, but he's not on anymore.
