I'd never heard of a water butt before seeing your question - but after Googling it, I see what you mean about the plastic ones! They're not very attractive. I found a couple that might be more what you're looking for (link below). Thanks for teaching ME something today!

From the look and expense of some of the water butts you can buy - my suggestion would be to make one yourself.
An old wooden barrell or terrecota plant pot may be used. with a bit of diy you can attach a tap or hose to it.
At least this way it will look the way you want it to and hold as little or as much as you want. I've attached a link to a site that sells the attachements to show that its quite cheap to fit them if required.

ha ha I don't know are you really missing that much behind where you need to by a fake one, listen my friend has absolutely no behind whatsoever, wears 7jeans there pretty expensive but they're for people who need the behind upholstered also Victoria Secret Jeans help alot they have special padding under the pocket with lifts the behind making look rather cute..lol good luck give it a try before you embarrass yourself

Crocus has a metal one or a plastic one which looks like terracotta or try a real oak barrel from the third link. I have used Crocus in the past and found them excellent for shopping and advise.

Are you from the UK? Some confusing answers on here. If in UK you can get a really nice Terracotta one, from some garden centres.
