Where are you based????? I know the Councils charge for replacements now.

Clearly carriage costs will be an issue for something that big, and unlikely to out weigh any savings based on the council's price.

So unless you live near a plastics recycler (who are likely to granulate them when they reach end of life) and can go and slip someone a tenner for a used one, I have to say grit your teeth and pony up the dough.

Hi, do you have membership to costco or know someone who has? they are £29.99 for a 240 litre green wheelie bin. Hope this helps.

Phone your local Council's refuse department and tell them your bin was vandalised. They should supply you with another - what do you pay your Council Tax for, for goodness sake!
