It is hard to find a 40 foot rv cord which i need.. But can i get a 50 foot without giving up detoriation of electrical signal to trailer? Otherwords 10 more feet make differnce? 50 foot Ok instead of 40 foot?

The wire must be minimum 10 gauge. You will be fine for either 40 or 50 feet. No worries at all.

If the cord used 10-Gauge wire, the difference should not be a problem. If it uses 8 gauge wire, absolutely no problem.

Don;t worry about it. RVs are not really used to very stable power anyway. But 40 ft for #10 is really pretty good. Plus- you don;t usually have EVERYTHING on at the same time.

If the chord is an more desirable score than the utility you need to use it. So confident, you need to use a 40 amp chord on a 30 amp equipment. The chord could be of an equivalent score, or larger than the utility, or you stand the threat of marvel or hearth.

Call local hardware store or electical supply store and ask the head of the electrical department. Or just call an electrician or an RV parts store. One of them probably can tell you the best answer.

The 50 foot cord will be fine.....ata roflmmfao, you have no clue what you're saying #8awg comes in both stranded and solid DoH!

10ga will work .if you tried to find an 8 ga cord you would find that 8ga is not made .because they don't make 8ga stranded wire .only 8ga solid
