Run a lot of hot water. Then heat 1 cup vinegar till steaming. Sprinkle a cup of baking soda down the drain. Slowly pour the vinegar down the drain. It will foam and help clean out the grease. I do this as a preventative to clogs every two weeks in each drain in my apartment. Bleach will kill germs but it won't clean the drain.

I would imagine hot water would make it go down better than cold water. Get some good drain cleaner and if that doesn't work you might have to clean the trap.

better yet would be to boil water and pour that down. It will liquify the grease and carry it out into the sewer system.
The best maintenance is to have your drains snaked once a year or so, to clean the interior walls

Pour liquid dish soap, like Dawn, Ivory whatever you have and follow be pouring hot hot water down it. Dothis a few times and the grease will clean out. If you are concerned about this happening on a regualr basis always do the liquid soap and hot water thing after each time!

Run hot water through it for a few minutes.
It should be okay. Never heard about using the bleach, but it shouldn't hurt anything.
