Blonde laminate flooring has definitely become quite dated. Newer, more fashionable options are:
Darker engineered wood flooring
Solid wood flooring in wenge or dark oak
Slate or limestone flooring
Carpeting
And don't forget rugs - there are some fantastic designs out there!

NO! Laminate is a great seeling floor for a little less than real hard wood! it looks great lasts longer and can be replaced sooo easy if a slat gets damaged! So many people go for tile, too. Go to Armstrong.com and check it out! Alot of people would get laminate and vinyl mixed up, im sure you didnt, but to others, vinyl is like a thin sheet, and laminate is thick like wood.

When I cleaned the laminate flooring in my old apartment I found the most useful cleaning solution was a small amount of washing up liquid (dish washing detergent if your in the US) and a drop of vinegar. If you use anti-bacterial detergent the germs will be killed and the vinegar leaves a streak free shine.

I hope it has gone out of fashion, as no-one that owns dogs or cats should have it as they can't get any grip on it, and people who have downstairs neighbours ought to be shot for having it as the noise passes stright through. This is antisocial and low class even if you are not clomping about in platform shoes at 3 in the morning.

No it has not. A floor that easy to keep clean will never go out of fashion.

Yes, laminate is a bit dated now, and it's a poor quality flooring.
Real wood is 'in', and will last a lifetime.
Mind you, carpeting seems to be 'in' too.

Ceramic tile and wood flooring are what I am seeing.
I do see the laminate/wood looking stuff though.

I don't think so. I think darker wood is in fashion as opposed to the light beech colours though. Typical, as we have just lay beech throughout the whole of our house.
