An approximate weight is 8 pounds, based on the common adage: "A pint's a pound the world around". So, since a gallon of liquid is 4 quarts or 8 pints, it's nearly 8 pounds. However water is a bit heavier, since water goes to the bottom, and diesel fuel, gasoline, kerosene stay on top.

Depends on the liquid. A gallon of water weighs 8lbs. Aviation fuel is about 6 pounds per gallon.

What is the liquid? Liquid propane and liquid oil are less dense than water. That is why oil floats on water. Liquid mercury is much more dense than water. It would sink. For aqueous things, (Mostly water), a pint's a pound the world around. 8 pints to the pound is 8 pounds to the gallon. You can look up the specific density of something in a table.

Depends upon the liquid itself --
Examples - 1 gallon of water weighs - 8.34 pounds while a gallon of milk weighs 8.59 pounds and a typical gallon of gasoline weighs 5.67 pounds, a gallon of fuel weighs 6 pounds and a gallon of oil weighs 8 pounds -----
Really no specific answer unless you clarify which liquid.

Some counties have bigger gallons than the USA so that would be about 1100 pounds = 500 kilograms in Canada plus at least 50 kilograms for the two drums. Most solvents including alcohol, oil and gasoline are about 15% lighter than water, while sulfuric acid is about twice as heavy. Neil
