I have a three month old daughter who kind of has a cold right now, but I want to make my living room smell good after I clean it. What kind of air freshner can I use that will be less likely to irritate her?

I would use some kind of lysol. That way when you use it, it will smell fresh while disinfecting germs. They make good scents, but the flowery ones give me a headache.

Potpourri will not make the whole house smell good. Air freshner in an aerosol can would not last very long. Plug in air freshener oil will be nice. I found out that if you have your house cool, you will get a better effect but if you have your house windows open or close with air circulation, it will not works as well for anyone to notice it.

I would not spray anything in the air.The baby doesn't need to breath any chemical. And anything you spray has a chemical. Try a Candle on a warming disk. These are made for the purpose of melting a candle instead of burning one. It is safer, last much longer and better for the baby.
VANILLA!!

With a baby, I would avoid all artificial chemicals. Try making a potpourri from citrus rinds or apples & cinnamon.

Glade scented oil candles have a really good strong smell and the Vanilla Rose smells AWESOME. If it irritates her you can blow it out.
