I would try to donate it to a shelter of some sort. They are always in need for donations. You could also contact a place that helps low income families and tell them what you have. Most of the time they have waiting lists and would call the people to have them come get it. The curb with a free sign is always good too.

As a few people have already said, the curb is a great idea. If it's junk that no one will want check to see if your local trash pick up has a separate "large item pick up" day.

If you put it out to the curb,I'm sure someone will pick it up.I would just put it out there and see what happens,and if it's there the next day,just put a sign on it that says "free".Someone will surely take it,then,if it's any good whatsoever.

How about a woman's shelter? Or a homeless shelter of some sort....heck, put advertisements up at work or school telling them free stuff, you haul.

If good will doesn't want it, take it to the dump. Or pay someone to take it to the dump for you. You're not helping anyone by donating your garbage to charity.

my father-in law called the US veterans and they would even pick it up for free. or maybe have a garage sale or sell it on ebay.
