Genuine replies only please. I am home alone 2 nite, and freaked out. I have had "things" happen in this house, since we bought it 9 yrs ago, bumps, just the other night a candlestick launched across the room on its own. Black darting shadows, seen by 3 different people on different nights, doors slamming, telly switching off on its own, bulbs exploding, apparitions, seen even by children, objects moving without a human touch, i could write a book. I am scared here, i need a genuine, no nonsense advice, what am i up against here?? Please help, i am alone tonight, and have heard bumping and dragging noises already from upstairs, it is a large old house i live in, what could this be, please no piss taking, i am worried here, really, scared!!!

Why do they pop up out of nowhere? What causes them to grow? I'm assuming it's seasonal because I just got rid of mine and noticed someone in my neighborhood has them as well. What's up with shrooms?

I have a Cactus that I keep in my room on a stand. And my roommate just knocked it over. All the dirt and Catus came. Out. It should be okay right? It won't die because It got knocke out of it's pot will it?

i have an old staircase where the metal spindles have been repainted many times. The paint is now very thick (gloss paint) and it is very awkward trying to strip them. (they have intricate patterns) any suggestions as to the best way to strip the paint will be very welcome.

One of my children left an ink pen in his pocket and it got all over everything in the wash. Is there a way to get it out? A miracle? LOL
I am pretty mad about this. I might have to throw everything from that load of laundry away! It is A lot! 4 people's clothes.

Has anybody heard anything about this? I just heard about it today, from my sisters and my aunt, and to me it seems like the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Everybody I talked to about it seems surprised that I didn't know about it: if a tree isn't producing any fruit, you can threaten to cut it down, and that'll solve the problem. Apparently it also works if you talk nicely to it, but of course I'm the only one who's never heard of that either. With no amount of reasoning could I convince them that a plant has no understanding of what you say to it. It seems clear as day to them that any living thing can hear and understand. Anyway, has anybody else heard anything like this? I just thought my aunt was superstitious, but it seems to be "common knowledge" around here. They even claim that scientific research has proven it. Of course, I don't believe them; and a lot of scientists are idiots too. All I can say is, wow.

I'm living in a loft in my apartment (college student) and I don't have a door. I'm going to hang a curtain to act as a door in the entrance way to the loft. What's the best way to hang it without drilling hooks and hangers into the drywall?

I have a walnut tree in my back yard and it is beautiful in the summer, but when it starts dropping the nuts I have to get my glass picnic table out of the way and move over because it dumps a bizillion nuts everywhere. Is there anyway to make this tree stop putting out nuts or do you know of a quick way to pick them up?

my appartment smells musty...i am a new student in college. the detergent i have tried still makes my clothes smell like the musty cubbards! i use surf! please help me know which scent last and LASTS!!! i prefer the "fresh laundry smell" nothing too fruity but i am willing to try anything at this point!
