Most mums begin flowering in late summer and will generally continue to bloom until the first hard frost. They are a favorite flower for September and October color in most parts of the USA. If they are cared for properly, they will come back year after year.
They are also a fairly long lasting cut flower. Many people make arrangements for the fall season using them.
Good luck with your mums.
