Judy, those geckos devour their weight in insects a couple of times a week. They are very unaggressive to humans, and there is no way that one could ever do you any sort of harm. Indeed, if they detect you anywhere near them, they run and hide. In Thailand, it is considered very bad luck to kill them, and they are encouraged to live in the house.
It would be very shortsighted and foolish to in any way persecute these timid and helpful creatures. Consider yourself fortunate, unless you prefer flys, moths, caterpillars, roaches and other nasty disease carrying creepy-crawlies, or to have your home saturated in harsh, carcinogenic insecticides.

AHHH!! I have the exact same problem!!! They seem to appear out of nowhere because we don't leave windows or doors open. Anyway, my weapon is my husband....I scream, he comes and scoops it up and puts it outside. I have also heard that mothballs may work. It works with snakes and frogs so why not? It doesn't kill them, just repels them. I would put them around the perimeter of your house and around the garage in the corners. The geckos seem to follow close to the wall. I haven't put any moth balls in the house because I have a 1yr old that is very curious about the things I do. Oh, and you don't want the geckos dead....they eat alot ofl the little bugs that you don't want in your house.

Geckos are harmless and I have found them to be beneficial as they eat the small spiders that make webs all over your house. They do scare you a little but I have come to really to appreciate them as I dont have to dust the webs.

You don't. I'm sorry but they are sneaky and fast. Get used to them and be thankful they are not wood roaches.
