Iwas wondering if it is worth the $250 or so, to have my heating ducts cleaned ?
Many have told me its just a made up trade to scare people into believing the health risks.

how can you break a one year lease when your landlord is in a forecloser? he was already behine on his payments and we did not know anything about this, we know now that the bank will be taking it sometime, but we dont want to wait until winter weather set in too move. all that people tell us is keep paying your rent, I think we should save our money to move out.

I have plugged internet modems and routeurs on a power bar. There's two laptop computers so now there is a mass of electrical wires all over the place.

How do I hide that?

I used polyurethane expanding foam to block the space between the wall and the pipes under my kitchen sink (I have a mice problem).

Now there's a big mass of foam around my pipes and I understand I have to remove it mechanically.

What is the best way to remove the excess foam without pulling out the whole piece of foam (and having to do it all over again).

What tool would you use for that?

Knife? (what kind)
Exacto?
Saw?

I don't shop there much, but when I do, all I see is lots of cheap rubbish that doesn't even look good any more. Of all the items I have bought there, the only ones that have lasted are items that are completely solid like tables. Other objects have cheap nasty plastics that warp and fail quickly. The swedes also don't seem to understand how things fit in UK houses (especially on the electrics side).

we have just installed a new shower, tray, tiling, and glass door, looks really nice but last night my husband slipped in it and there is a huge crack in it, more like a hairline crack, do we have to replace the whole tray as it would mean wrecking the tiles and taking the door off or is there any other way to fix it? please Im desperate?

I have always under stood that if you put 1 KW in ; you get one KW of heat out, and if the heater has the facility to retain heat ;it then must have taken more energy to heat up the heat retainer.

I live in sunny south London, I don't have a greenhouse and as far as I can tell the soil type is 'brown' if any of that helps ; )

I am not particularly 'green fingered'.
