My neighbor noticed a termite nest forming on the back of my wooden fence. I called a pest control company and they said they were most likely agricultural termites that don't cause any structural damage, and that they don't even come out or treat for "agricultural termites." Called a second one and they said the same thing. Just said to knock the colony off but that they'd probably just come back. Said not to worry about it. I just recently moved here to Texas and have no experience with termites. Do I just let them be?

It leaks water to the very bottom and then ends up running out on the floor. I assume a drain line is clogged somewhere. The fridge is several years old but runs very well. It has been leaking for some time. I can dry the bottom of the fridge and it'll be a few days before it starts leaking again, but then it leaks pretty consistantly. Not a lot of water but very aggrevating. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I recently had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and had been taking Uristat for it. As many women probably know, it has a dye in it (Red # 40) which makes your urine orange why.. I dont know. Anyway, my puppy found one on the floor and ate it, it didnt hurt him, but he frequently has accidents as he is only 7 weeks old. He urinated on the carpet and now there is a small orange stain. I dont know what to do to get it off. Some ideas would be really appreciated.

I just thatched my lawn and put down penkote fescue plus seed. It has rained steadily for the last two days. It seems in the past when i put down straw that shorty after the grass starts to grow, what appears to be mold starts covering the new grass and it dies. Should I avoid the straw.

I got a big rat/mouse up in my attic. How can I rid of it? Don't care if it lives or not. Mouse traps don't seem to work.

I have one of those little bamboo plants from walmart or whatever. There are 3 stems that sit packed in sand in a little glass vase. 2 of the stems are growing great, but one of them looks dead. The stem is all brown, and the leaves are all wilted. Should I try to remove that stem? I am thinking it will be difficult the way it is packed in sand.

I currently have a semi-flush 3 light fixture. It is outdated and ugly. What kind of fixture should I replace it with? (Send me links with pictures if you can find one.)

My dining room table is elegant, kind've fancy. The dining room is at the end of the kitchen (it is small, only the table fits in there), and the living room is at the other end of the dining room. The kitchen, dining room, living room form a U shape, the kitchen and living room are parallel, separated by a wall.(From the kitchen, you walk through dining room to get to the livingroom.)

The dining room light fixture is in the middle of the room, so my table can't be directly under the fixture because there wouldn't be enough room to walk to the living room. So a long light directly above the table is out of the question since it wouldn't be centered above the table. Suggestions?

We just bought a house. The bathroom is carpeted. I find that a strange choice. I believe they also had cats who may have spent time in the bathroom. Everytime I spend time in there getting ready for the day my nose gets very itchy, which is a sign of my cat allergy. We've cleaned the room, but perhaps cat dander is just too imbedded in the carpet. We know we want to replace the floor eventually, but if it's not TERRIBLY expensive, maybe we'll so it sooner rather than later. Or would a professional cleaning do a better job??

By the way, the room is not big... it's an average size. The carpeting might cover 12x6 or so...

I am having 3 old half dead willows removed because their dead branches are threatening the neighborhood electric line. What good not-too-tall trees can live in the same conditions? The neighbors told me that the previous owner tried many trees, including river birch, and they all died until the willows.
