I recently had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and had been taking Uristat for it. As many women probably know, it has a dye in it (Red # 40) which makes your urine orange why.. I dont know. Anyway, my puppy found one on the floor and ate it, it didnt hurt him, but he frequently has accidents as he is only 7 weeks old. He urinated on the carpet and now there is a small orange stain. I dont know what to do to get it off. Some ideas would be really appreciated.

Buy a product by shout called a shout stain stick. Put this on the stain and wait for a few minutes, then gently rub out with water. If the stain does not come out, try putting some oxyclean and water on it, wait a few minutes before washing out. Test oxyclean on a small area for colorfastness. I hope this works for you.

Here are a few possibilities.

First make sure all of the urine stain is removed. Use the recipe recommended at the first site.

Then use some of the strategies recommended for removing grass stains - grass is also like a dye stain and the same processes should work. The other sites also have good suggestions. Good luck with it.

I found a product called Spot Shot carpet cleaner at Costco. It is specifically for difficult carpet stains and works really well on pet problems - believe me I know. Check the link for more info.
