hi, i live in pennsylvania, and i planted some watermellon seeds in late may, i never expected anything to grow because it never did before, but for some reason , the watermellons grew, and now i have one the size of a grape fruit, and one the size of a gulf ball, now my problem is, the bigger one seems to not be growing anymore, and it has a small black spot on top of it about the size of a nickle.can it be saved? did i do somthing wrong?what do i do with it, and how do i prevent this from happening to the other one.

ps, i think they are the small ones, i bought them as little plants from a garden center, and the picture shows the to look round like a ball, anda little less then a foot wide

i bought seeds before, but these i bought as small plants, the seeds would never grow

The problem that I have answering your question is that I do not know what KIND of watermelon you planted.. the bigger type of the small type

The sucker is OK. Watermelons need an extreme amount of watering. That is probably why you got small crop! The more water, the bigger the melons!!
