With toilets, you tend to get what you pay for. Pick a quality brand, like American Standard or Kohler, and choose a model that is not in the opening price point. Check and see what type of flush system it employs, as all toilets today are low water flow, and you want a top quality flush mechanism.

Many people like the low water usage toilets that have one piece.. that is the toilet and the water reservoir are all in ONE.. I do not like that because if something goes wrong, it is too heavy to remove and repair. I like a toilet that is a little taller than most so when you sit on it, you do not seem to be sitting on the floor... and I like a toilet where the hole in the bottom is large enough and not small where one will be required to flush twice.. As to the brand.. any are good... Ask the guy at Home Depot or wherever you get it to advise.. You cannot go wrong with most any of the brands... The Orly brand that I do not like is the CRANE brand

Go with a Cimmaron or Champion toilet made by Kohler or American Standard they have been re designed to flush everything the first time"No better way to say that". They are there solution to the low water usage of 1.6 gallons per flush.

Kohler... hands down. And whatever you do, don't buy one that has a fancy shaped bottom where the water and waste get flushed... you'll forever be calling in a plumber. They look real nice and rich, but they can't flush without blocking for beans!

We bought an Eljer pressure flush. It cost about $200 but there is no need for a plunger in that bathroom. My kid is kind of afraid of it though cause it flushes loud.
