I've just moved into a new flat. When I arrived, the boiler worked OK. The pilot light went out, and after I relit it (using the spark on the boiler), it stays on but when I switch it on for hot water, it doesn't heat it, although the boiler and the hot water tank and pipes buzz as if it were working.

It's an old-looking boiler, by the way.

I'm thinking it's Iowa, but I'd like to back this up. A list would also help, if it possible and credible. Thank you.

We seem to have a spider epidemic in the bushes outside our flat and it's actually beginning to replulse me! They're huge and have big brown bodies - they look like mini tarantulas!! Does anyone know of a good way to get rid of them??

I have a baxi powermax 140 combi boiler. I tried turning the heating on yesterday in preparation for the winter and the radiators are cold, no heat gets sent to them at all. I bled the radiators but there was no air in the system.

I've noticed when the boiler is on the pressure is at 2 bar instead of the usual 1.5.

I sometimes have problems with the flow to my shower and it pulses between hot and cold.

Any advice?

My apartments have a wall unit instead of central air. However the airconditioner don't fit in the wall right so there are direct holes. Rather large ones to the outside. Which have let in giant spiders and ants as well as the heat. My electric bill is really high and not to mention is smells like mildew every time I turn it on. So I'd like to break it so that they will replace it with a new one like my neighbor.
