Often when hardwood flooring warps it is too warped tomuch to work with.
If you are lucky enough you can sand the flooring somewhat flat again. maybe up to 1/8 inch, moore than that the tung and grove will split. that is usualy what worps the most.
The best fix is a new floor.

Another toughie....

How long ago was the flood and how long was it submerged??? In other words... has the timber dried to it's natural state???

Is it timber boards or some sort of particle flooring?? It needs to be seen by a "trustworthy" person who "knows".

Yes it can be sanded to a flat surface but if it isn't dry then it will continue buckling (curling) as it dries out.

Just guessing here.... I'd sand it with professional gear (like polished floorboards) and fit hardboard sheeting prior to new carpet.

Good luck

if you have insurance for this, get a new floor installed. if not, sanding and refinishing is an option but it is not cheap, is very messy, and will take up a lot of your time and there is still no guarantee that you will achieve the look you want.

Dependong on how warped they are, you may be able to have them sanded flush again. Otherwise, unfortunately, you may have to have the floors replaced.
