Well how attached were you to this parrot?

If it was just a pet, then flush him down the pooper looper, if he's too big to flush,... and you don't want to just toss his carcass in with the evening garbage.

Then I would suggest taking him/her to a mortuary, and ask if you can have it creamated. If they can do it and not too expensively. Then go for it, keep your favorite pet in an urn with its photo somewhere in the kitchen or bathroom. Or you can have a potter incorporate the ashes into a clay mixture, and make a pot or coffee mug or soup bowl or something with it.

There is a company that can turn the ashes into industrial gems stones. A girl at work had a part of her fathers ashes turned into a 4 carat diamond and mounted onto a ring. Well when the remains are cooked in a kiln, down to its base materials, it isn't too difficult to integrate them into a paste to make an artificial gemstone.
It just gets a little pricey because the process isn't widespread.

But if money is a problem, then perhaps you should just leave it in the freezer for a few years (unwrapped) eventually he will dry out, and later you can use it as fertillizer for a potted plant, and keep the plant as a keepsake as a memorial to the parrot.

Well it was just a thought.

cheers!!!

it's a Polygon! sorry about that, couldn't help myself. I know what it's like to lose a bird (budgie when I was 11- RIP Milou). Bury him somewhere nice, say a few words to remember his/her life, and maybe plant something on his/her grave.

Send it for a postmortem to the vet. after all you need to know the actual cause. You can prevent it happening to your next pet.
