Used to be sex and violence!
Nowadays it's only simulated sex and violence.

It depends on the kid; of the older ones, some get summer jobs; some lay around the house until their parents threaten them with military service; and some poor things go to summer school.
Many time parents come up with various activities such as piano lessons, or summer camp; and some kids help around the family farm or business.
No matter what you may have heard, parents here don't really like the idea of young people just hanging out on the sofa eating sandwiches in front of the TV for weeks at a time, so if the kid hasn't got any idea what to do with his time, the parents are almost certain to suggest something.

depends on the age - 0-2y time with parents and learning/growing - 3-5y pools, sandboxes, friends, parks, parents, leap frogs and TV (educational and cartoons usually) - 6-18 pools, sandboxes, camping, sports, the Malls, computers, games, reading, the telephone, bicycling and just hanging out with friends (not so much time with the parents anymore)
this is based on my own experience with my two younger brothers and three daughters - not much difference between the boys and girls

joining gangs, carjacking, planning next years school shootings, selling drugs, doing drugs, and screwing each other. If they have not went to prison yet. Oh, and yes hopscotch!

Well we dont go around shooting kangaroos like you do in Australia. We watch tv, play playstation, swim, look at implants, get tans, some fake tans. Hang out at night when its cool

now it's prolly comp games, we used to, Skateboard, surf, beach, boat, fishing, Hot Rods, go to Manhattan, drink beer, smoke pot, chase girls. Come to think of it, thats pretty much what I still do now as an adult (or am I still a teenager)
