How big is your room? A beautiful day bed for naps can be quite glamorous. A bedroom is relatively easy to glamorize. Focus on bedding. A soft, luxurious spread or comforter, decorative pillows, beautiful window treatments. I like to keep the windows light and airy, lace or sheers with venetian blinds behind them. Heavy drapes tend to make the room look too dark. I just did my room over, I'll tell you what I did, maybe it will give you an idea. I bought a beautiful wrought iron bed from the American Iron Bed Co. (great company) in washed blue. The walls of the room were painted "Rainwashed" by Sherman Williams. The trim in the room is white. My husband put up a beautiful tin ceiling for me and I accented the room with my seashell collection. I have a window seat, so no room for a day bed. Actually, the scene outside the window was my focal point, I live on the river and wanted to feel as though I were sleeping by the water. The bedding took in all the colors in the room, soft and soothing and I added silk pillows. For my windows I used white blinds with white tie up curtains. When I lay on my bed, I wish I never had to leave the room. Good luck with your project, I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Priscilla drapes (tie backs with flounces) in pretty feminine colors will help.
Add some pretty table lamps in crystal or china.
Silk flowers in cut glass vases.
A big vanity with a large mirror, a satin ottoman to sit on, and a bit of lacy lingerie on display.
Go for it!

Paint it a bold color, or use bold accents. Fuschia, purple, colbalt blues, hot pink, all really girly and glamourous. Silky material, feathers, fur, all girly and glamourous.

I like nice soft neutral colors...like a soft pink or off white or even lilac...then candles and white shelves that you can put pictures or stuffed animals....not to many or flower arrangements....border along your walls often softens the look and also adds a bit of glam.

Well first you need to pick a nice glamorous color like, a deep magenta, or plum... maybe?
Then, you need to get some plush, bedding made out of a glamorous looking material... I suggest an iridescent taffeta maybe... and lots of pillows!!
Also, look at gold or, silver-toned accories (e.g. picture frames, candles, candle holders, ect.)
And, mirrored finished things too.
