Before I could give you any advice I would need to know what the doll is made of. I wouldn't spray anything or use anything that's liquid on a compostion doll! I have heard of using newspaper, but be sure to wrap the doll in white tissue paper first, as newspaper print can get on the doll and you will have a worse problem than the odor. I have also heard that putting a doll in kitty litter works (just make sure it hasn't been used, LOL) If she's bisque, with fired in face paint, she can be washed with soap and water. But before you do anything research the type of doll you have and what will work with the material she's made of.

Try crumpling up a bunch of news paper and put it in a box thats just a little bigger than the doll. Lay the doll on it then crumple up some more news paper and stuff that on top of the doll. Close the box and let it sit for about a week, it may take longer but it will get the smell out eventually. My Mom uses it all the times to get the smell out of everything from the onion smell in a plastic bowl to the smell of rotten tennies.

There is a product at Walmart that eliminates odors. It's something like Smoke be gone, has a yellow spray top and a cigar on the front of the bottle. It works great and will not ruin the doll. Be careful of the face if it is porcelin however. Only on the fabric parts.
I'm hoping this is cig smoke and not fire smoke.
If it is fire smoke, take it to a doll proffessional to have it cleaned.

Put it in a small, enclosed space with bowls of vinegar sitting around. Vinegar acts as an air cleaner. Keep replacing the vinegar until the odor is out. Then put the doll outside, not in the sun.

I would hazard a guess at Fabreze. You could always try a professional doll cleaner though.

Leave it outside on a sunny day and let it air out or try some Febreeze on it.

Febreeze unscented works wonders with smoke. other than that, vinegar or baking soda? but potential messiness with those.
