For example, do you clean bathrooms on Mondays, vaccuum on Tues/Thurs. etc. Do you find that this works, or does it put more pressure on an already hectic life?

I have had it happen in humidity trays for orchids in the past and I just bought a fishbowl shaped candle holder in which you can put items (like pebbles or shells) in water inside the bowl and the candle holder rests on top. Just wondering if there was an additive (like maybe salt or possibly ammonia) that could be put in the water to hinder the process of algae growth in these items. It's yucky and it's a pain to scrub off! Thanks!

Our house is pretty spacious, but I feel like it is just more room in which to collect junk and clutter. Our kitchen especially is just piled with mail and papers and just has stuff everywhere. I feel like I am constantly picking up, but then maybe I am just walking in circles...? Please share with me ways that you keep your house organized. I work full time and have a toddler...I need help!

We will be putting our home up for sale soon and my next door neighbors are the eyesores of the entire block. Dirty diapers in their driveway, and toys and bikes and trash everywhere. They live in a two bedroom home with 5 children under 10 years of age. Their filthy old beat up recliner is on their front lawn. HELP? But...I can't just ask them to "clean up" as we turned them in for animal cruelty last year. They were literally starving their poor dog to death. (We feed it now regularly as they still don't feed or water it for days on end.) What can we do???

We have an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser in our kitchen, and it flows at a rate of about one ounce per second, even slower than the earlier model we had. If you have a hot water dispenser, is yours that slow? I have checked all the tubes -- none of them are kinked or clogged. And the water pressure from the supply is fine.

i had a roof installed several years ago and had roof vents added .i had gable vents, which i had covered up because of squirrels getting in.no more squirrels but there was an odor in my home which i had checked and was told that i didn't have proper circulation and that i should invest in a attic fan.i never had eave vents on this older home so i'm assuming that the gable vents were there for circulation purposes, but i'm concerned about the squirrels getting back in my attic.thanx

My dryer has the most awful smell. The clothes don't smell if I get them out right when dryer stops. I had this problem when I was pregnant and we had a plumber come and flush the lines. He said it is from lint getting wet. I clean the lint screen every time I use the dryer. It smelled okay for a while after the plumber, now it stinks again. I have tried air fresher, letting the dryer stay open to air dry, using a blower to clear the lines and nothing works. Has anyone else ever had this problem, if so how did you solve it?

I painted my daughters room and now want to add some designs to it so I bought some stencils and acrylic paint. After purchasing the acrylic paint, I got all the way home and asked myself if it's a good idea to put acrylic paint on walls? I live in a condo so I can do what I want to the walls but do people put acrylic paint on walls to draw designs with? Other than wall paint, what other kind of paint can I use to draw designs with or is acrylic paint ok?
