If the floors are uneven then the frame may be twisted or the floor joist are rotting or the plywood may be coming apart. Best to have a pro look into it before you buy. Its not a bad price but to fix the floors might cost more than home is worth. Mobile home floors are not suppose to be uneven at all.

Bad news Garcia, Alexis is looking at this one also. Remember, a mobile home looses value the same as a car.You can spiff it up as much as you want but, as the saying goes, " You can put lipstick on a pig, but you still have a pig " A $4000 car would be a piece of junk.

If it did not need work I would say yes it was. but being that it needs work I would say no. I would say keep looking. It would cost you a few grand to fix those things. Maybe you should try finding on that is a little new and does not need repairs, figure up how much it will cost you to fix it up, then look into mobile homes that are in that price range.

it will be impossible to heat in the winter and twice as impossible to cool in the summer unless and i doubt it you have A/C, because the exterior walls are notoriously thin and insulation is sub grade for that old a unit...you never mentioned the roof but if it has never been replaced expect some big time leaks in a heavy rain..especially if it has skylights...personally i think it would be a bad investment.. take the 4000 and put it down on a new or newer one with upgraded insulation, roof, etc....

NO
unless you own some land to put it on... mobile homes on rental pads are NEVER worth the money - for a small amount more you can rent a house with a yard.. for a small amount less you can rent an apartment AND save money to buy a proper house with yard for yourself....
dont fall into the trap of living in a trailer park.... they call it "trailer trash" for a reason you know...

Depends are where it is. A little paint and such can go a long ways. Trailer floors are not always the best. $4000 is not that bad. It is 80 ft too! Bigger then the norm.

It was junk when it was new! You're in for a lot of headaches, since they seem to accentuate the minimum with mobile homes.
Offer them $500.00.

no it's not... it'll cost you about that to do repairs... for something that old with those issues don't pay more than $1,500... I've owned and sold mobile homes that sounds like a rip off...

Too much. Repairs themselves will probably cost you as much as the asking price. Ask yourself if its worth $8000!
