We have an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser in our kitchen, and it flows at a rate of about one ounce per second, even slower than the earlier model we had. If you have a hot water dispenser, is yours that slow? I have checked all the tubes -- none of them are kinked or clogged. And the water pressure from the supply is fine.

Thanks, ApplianceGuy. We don't have a saddle valve -- it was plumbed in conventionally during a remodel.

Robert, the outlet tube is 3/8". The inlet tube is 1/4, and it's allowing the water to flow twice as fast as the outlet.

What I'm wondering is -- should I get a different unit, or is low flow the norm?

Check the seat of the saddle valve. Some times the rubber gasket gets distorted and restricts water flow. The hole in the water line sometimes gets blocked also.

if you have a drinking water filter on the line then the water will flow at a slow pace! which is normal! :)
Best of luck
