A Yahoo search for "deck construction" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 356,000 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.

Or you could get a book at your local library that will walk you step by step through the process. These books are also sold at any bookstore, Lowe's, or Home Depot.

Good luck with your search.

This is way to hard to explain with to many details. Just type in, "how to build a deck" on your computer and many many sites will come up. It's really easy if you follow the instructions they give you. Good luck

We have a store in our town called Menards (building supply store) and they have plans you can buy or you can customize something on their computer and it will give you a list of the items needed and the "basic" instructions on how to put it together. Trust me they are very basic. We just built a 14x22 ft. deck on our house and my husband and father-in-law said the instructions could have been better. But they do give you a picture also.
