a heavy piece of wire(like metal clothes hanger)put a small 90 degree bend on one end....just big enough to grab the edge and force it down between them... when you think you are down far enough to be beneath the piece you want to remove.... turn the wire so that the bent end goes under the bottom edge... if you have problems turning it just put a bigger 90 in the exposed wire like a handle..lift slowly it should come loose.......if really tight joints you may have to use two.....one on each corner........it will help to clean and sand or dirt from the joints around the piece you are working with.......sometimes they are so tightly packed together that this will not work.......if that is the case you may have to start from the outside edge and work your way to the center

I get the impression that you probably would like to have a feature planting area in the middle of a flagged area. Take a heavy hammer and break it into small pieces. WAR OVER and no damage to the surrounding area.

Do you want to keep the slab?

If not, break the slab into smaller pieces and then pick them up.

Your local Jewsons will have a couple of grips you can purchase. they are also used by the council in lifting man hole covers. I think there around £15 pounds. With the cement only being spotted down it should be easy to lift

smack it with a slege hammer a couple times and remove the pieces. Presuming it already broken and that's why you want it out. Or cut around the edges with a demo saw or grinder to loosen it

Hi
if it is not already damaged, you could try breaking it up, the one slab that is.
