How do I deal with them before winter?

just over a year old aswell,any tips anyone,roughly how much should I pay,I'm sick of being ripped off by repair men..does anyone know anyone honest & reasonable priced around the east london area?? I have checked the waste pipe & its not blocked so Im fairly sure it is the pump.

it wont play anything,even brand new out the box dvd's.I tried a cleaning cd,that worked a couple of times,now no matter if I clean it first it still wont play,should I chuck it or can it be fixed,any tips guys? thanks.

Ok I'm looking for an apartment somewhere in downtown New York. I want it to be a loft apartment with atleast 2 bedrooms. I know this is probably gonna sound stupid but I really want one of those apartments like in the movies where you can just look out the window at see the skyline clearly. Anyone know what I'm talking about, or know where would be a good place to look first?

i was working with some super glue, and some got all over my thumb and pointer finger. I cant get it off. I've tride hot water and soap, but nothing has happened. It feels really awkward.

A pen(gel) leaked in my shirt pocket. It then dried and I took it to a laundry place hoping that it would go away. There it was washed, dried and ironed. The spot was still there when I got it back.

22 year old house with full basement, approx 140 of perimeter ADS pipe leading to a sump and pump. Existing pipes are apparently clogged and sump is dry after a heavy rain. Water comes in from below slab during a heavy rain.
