I grow them every year and I've found out that they dont like real wet Springs, and real hot Summers. We've had a hot summer this year, and I had the same problems as you. But don't give up. The tubers are growing well, probably, so you may have some good plants next year. Good luck!

Yes ,I have 2 and both of them had blooms when I bought them,and there were lots of new buds that looked ready to bloom but just never did.The plants are still growing strong but no blooms.I live in zone 6 and we have had a very cool and wet summer so I am assuming that is the reason.

when dahlias start looking bad you can cut them back and they will come back like new. Better luck next year. Good luck
