Funny how life is. Just when you think you've had enough!

To try and figure this one out..Mmmm must be rocket scientist..
The crack when they are ready to eat..Valina ice cream and a blender make a good pomegranate shake,,Very sweet and yum.

1- Pick ‘em before they go over ripen
2- Don’t let them dry up by leaving them exposed to sunlight, etc.
3- Stop squeezing them too hard
4- Cracked pomegranates usually taste better (redder, sweeter, and juicier)
5- I love pomegranate juice – tastes great and is excellent for your health.
6- The Spanish have this pomegranate seed good luck charm ritual thing they go through each New Year to insure they never run out of money.

ALL pomegranates will crack when they ripen!! this is how they spread all those seeds to make new trees!!! If you want to pick them without cracks,, then you have to get them just before they ripen,, hard to tell this way!! It just means the fruits are ripe and ready to eat!!

I believe that happens when they've been in the sun for too long. I think the outer layer dries and contracts, and therefore cracks. It has no affect on taste, however. If it really bothers you, you can pick them sooner. They are ready when they're not green anymore.

They just do that. Maybe it is because the outer skin can't keep up with the enlarging seeds inside. If you don't like it, pick them before they do or just when they start to.
