they did a sloopy job, they did not do what they was suppose to do, they build up around the skylite so we had to get another skylite from them, things are still flying off the roof, you can smell the tar through the skylite, etc

We have several varieties of Rhubarb planted, some two years old, some new this year. All the leaves turned brown and died back. This did not happy so early last year. It has been hotter than usuall. Is this normal, or is there a terrible rhubarb killer. I would like to know if I should plant more next spring.

i had a Coke explode in my car on a hot day. I can not seem to get it off the roof. I have tried Just soap and water, a tide pen, spray and wash. It is still there. Any suggestions on how to get the stain out?

I've been housesitting for my parents, taking care of their house and their pets as well as my own house and pets.
My house is small, with a small yard, so I don't normally bother with watering my lawn (I figure, the dead-er it is, the less it needs to be cut). Their yard and front lawn is big.
San Antonio had been under water restrictions, so the folks in my parents' neighborhood could only water their lawns on Fridays, I think. My parents have one of those underground sprinkler systems (and I'm not entirely sure how to turn it on).

So, I've been busy getting ready to start teaching again, and I FORGOT to water the lawn AT ALL!!! SO, today, I noticed the lawn is a bit brown and crunchy.... My question:
Is it too late? Have I killed it? If I water it this coming Friday, and let get really, really, REALLY soaked, is there any possibility of reviving it????
Please, some gardening expert, give me some good advice to save the lawn.
Or else, just give me the bad news gently.

We have several Rose of Sharon bushes that have taken over other shubs in our yard. The "seedings" are everywhere! What is the best way to eliminate these beautfiul, but uncontrollable flowers from our yard? We have tried digging them up but they keep coming back the following Spring. (sigh) Thanks for your help.

My fiance and I rent an apartment. Well, we have been having numerous problems here. First our plumbing was shot but we fixed it. Then our hot water heater went out and the landlord fixed that. The coil or something like that needed replaced. This time I was taking a shower and I had NO hot water!!!!!! Our pilot light is lit so I know it's on. Any tips for what else could make our hot water just shut off like that?

Just recently, I read an article about these Micro Compact Homes developed in Germany that take up 75 square feet and can house up to two people. Apparently, they were used as student housing at a university in Munich. They were so popular, the students who lived in them wanted to spend another year studying there. For more information, the links are below:

Considering the fact that apartments in San Francisco are ridiculously overpriced, I think having these Micro Compact Homes in the US would greatly benefit college students and business travelers. Since they take up little space, they should be inexpensive to rent. What are your opinions?

All of our faucet spickets leak terribly when a hose is attached. Water spews everywhere instead of down the water hose and onto the lawn. What can we do?

A friend of mine recently bought a victorian brick home; at least a hundred years old. The exterior of the house has been painted over at least twice and now is peeling. He wants to remove the paint to reveal the red brick underneath. Another friend sandblasted the paint off of a house in a similar situation and it caused the brick to decay. Is there another way?
