I have (mills Pride) particleboard kichen cabinets that got
waterlogged and now am unable to get rid of the cocoroaches. I
tried Raid, Combat, boric acid, fogging etc, to no avail?
I need a definetive answer that is safe for humans, and does not
require replacing the cabinets.
counter top is granite tiles on cement backer board on plywood.

I do not know what kind they are. The pears are rather large, dark green and many have a brown ring around the bottoms. I don't know if this kind will turn yellow or what. Can anyone help?

I just moved into one of my friends' moms' buildings (her mom is the landlord) and the apartment was not painted... Is she supposed to paint or is it my choice? I asked her if it was okay to paint and she said sure. But I am unsure if she is supposed to paint...

I have 2 toilet on my upper level of my home and both
will run intermittantly. If i flush the toilets it runs a normal cycle
fills and shut off. Then they will start running for no apperant
reason. I replace both wax seals and bent the float, adjusted
the float level screw. Could this be a vent problem i.e. wind blowing
accross my vent creating a low pressure and sucking water from
my bowl??

We are going to be selling our house and don't want questions raised about the integrity of the windows, which I really think work great. It's just from winter condensation and having the windows open at other times of year. I tried Howard's Restor-a-Finish and it didn't work. So, do we need to sand and revarnish these or will a home inspector ding us on this? Is this just one of those wear n tear things that won't matter in the long run, or will it be imparative to repair it? I don't know how this works for little stuff like this.

I once saw in a contractor actually put lights in the window sill of a north facing window to add the effect that lots of natural light was coming in even thought it wasn't. Anyone ever done this? Should the lights go up in the window or in the ceiling right in front of the window. I have a very old window and don't want to screw it up. Any thoughts on lighting windows to improve the overall feel of a dark room? Right now I just have recessed lighting. Should I focus on lamps, a chandelier or the window lighting?

this is remodel work and several outlets have been added and now they are overheating with use...even if only one outlet is being used. If more than one counter top appliance is being used it will trip a circuit breaker. The outlets are very hot to the touch..we have stopped using all of them until we come up with a solution to prevent a fire hazard......circuit testers show wiring ok (the yellow ones with the lights.
