To aid efficiency, gaskets in today's refridgerators have a magnetic strip inside them to ensure good tight fits. Unfortunately it makes them just a bit tougher to open. There is not much you can do except clean the gasket surface and the fridge contact area with any soap and warm water to be sure nothing sticky is on it. Something you might try; is to grasp the handle a bit lower on the door when you pull to open. You might find a little less effort is required.

If the door swings closed rather quickly by itself, your refrigerator might be tipped backward too much toward the wall. This is normally done on purpose when the refrigerator is installed to make sure the door closes by itself and the magnetic seal works tightly to seal the door when shut. So use a carpenter's level on the flat top surface of the refrigerator to see if it's tipped too far backwards toward the wall. If so, try screwing the two front leveling posts both in a couple turns each time while checking how fast the door swings closed. When you have the door just slowly swinging closed, that may make it easier to open it. The refrigerator should be perfectly level from side to side, but be tipped backward somewhat to make the door self closing.

Best is silicon spray like WD40, rubbed lightly on the rubber gasket with a soft cloth. Vaseline also if used very sparingly. I'd clean with a weak detergent water first, making sure it is dry on both surfaces.

Wash the gasket with ammonia on a washcloth and the case where it contacts the box. You have spilled something that is sticky.

Why don't you just clean off all the spilled kool aid so the door doesn't stick?
