My situation is, I have had a very reputable company estimated cost for me which is over 4G, I decided to do it. But people at work said I could have just hired someone to clean it for a couple of hundred $ a year, so I am a little confused

I have a very tall house with multi-layers of gutters, and I have a loooots of trees around the house, so do it myself with a hose is out of question now.

They were the best investment we ever made. We live in a rural canyon with all kinds of critters. The animal guards and covers we have keep us from having to get up on the ladder and clean them out every year or hire someone to do it. We have a two story house surrounded by trees that drop leaves which are a pain to get out of the gutters, particularly when wet. And, we are one of the few houses that hasn't had a problem with rodents on the roof or in the attic. It is a lot easier to trim the trees than clean out the gutters!

Good investment you will love the Gutter covers, you can buy them at Lowes, they are like the Gutter Shield you see advertised on TV and are inexpensive and easy to install.

$4G sounds like a heck of alot of money. At $100 a year to have someone clean them the same money would last 40 years. Why not get the sprayer attachment on a long pole that connects to your garden hose and do it yourself?

Gutter covers need to be cleared out also, right?
