I have recently moved into a house which has round pin plug sockets, which I am told can be used to plug in lamps to enable them to be switched on and off using the normal light switch. Please can someone advise on changing my lamp plugs from normal square pins to round pins? I recently bought some round pin plugs but they appear not to have fuses in them so I am not sure if they are compatible with my lamps - is it possible to buy fused round pin plugs? Do I need to? Thanks.

Is it safer to live in North London than it is in South London? Which part has the most hard water? And which part most of all commands respect? Please give me reasons. Thanks.

I bought liquid soza and it works but is there anything economical and practical ways where I can just use something reachable in my kitchen that I can use anytime the bathroom is clogged. They said baking soda does it good if mixed with something... is it vinegar or water? I'm a working woman and I have 2 girls keeping me company. There are only 3 of us at home and I am not so knowledgeable with house maintenance, so I solicit help from yahoo answers which solves my problems instantly. Thanks a lot. Yahoo answers is great.

I have a small bedroom, 10 foot sq and have just painted it Homebase's Classic Cream. I'm now wondering if I should paint the main wall where my bedhead is a different colour, dusky pink maybe?? My accessories will be aubergine/purple.
I don't want my room to feel any smaller or lose it's light.
Any ideas??

we were replacing all the seats, stems and handles...all was going well until we got to the drain. We couldn't get it to come lose and an internet forum we found said to use WD-40, a chisel and hammer to losen it. Well I guess it would work for most, but not us! We got really excited when it began turning and then when it wouln't come out we realized something broke. The pipe snapped off. It's some type of metal (the tub is about 30 yrs old) Now we don't know how to get the drain out so we can try to replace it. The worst part....we only have 1 bathroom and looks like the camper will be set up for showers.

When I buy a nice sweater or something I always think grimly, Well, it won't look like that for long. I seem to destroy clothes just by washing them and wearing them. I'm serious. I wash in cold water with a liquid detergent and then hang them on the line outside until they are dry. What am I doing wrong?

I have poison ivy (along with other freaking weeds) in my backyard. I have tried every weed killer known to mankind. It did not work.

I have decided (assuming no opposition) to dumping gasoline all over this ****. It will surely kill everything that I want to die. I have a river flowing through my backyard and do not want any ill environmental effects - what do I need to do to keep my gasoline killing spree from the groundwater system?

I want to make bathroom dolls for decor. I will paint the faces, dress them with pieces of "towel" fabric, etc. I got tired of looking in the web for them and I can't find a supplier. The only supplier I got is "Sunshine Discount Crafts", but I already bought their doll and I want something different this time. These dolls have for a head a "wood ball" and the rest of the body is a not painted wooden body. They are about 10 to 12 inches long, and they may have a skinny shape, a country style type of a doll. Thank you all for your help!!!
