We want to plant new plants near our front door which is under the eaves and faces north. We like lots of flowers. We don't want to go with succulents. And we want the plants to be fairly compact and no higher than 1 metre.

The walls are basic drywall. Is there any way to cover an entire wall without causing too much damage when the mirrors are removed? I plan to make one of the bedrooms my workout room.

I live in an upstairs apartment and it gets VERY hot. (I live in Texas) and my apartment manager won't let us put aluminum foil over our windows to reflect the heat. What else can I do? Like are there any special types of curtains I can maybe use? The sun is heating up my apartment and running my electric bills sky high.

How would a Mid-North-Georgian (on the South Carolina Border) go about raising wild grapes? I love the taste of them (I eat them frequently back in the woods where I hunt), but they unfortunately only grow there, not in my backyard. Should I just take a seed from one of them, stick it in the ground and hope for the best, or is there a certain way and time to do it? I would appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

Just remodeled a powder room and never thought about the backsplash for the wall right behind the 20"wide pedestal sink--and the contractor apparently didn't either! The bathroom has no tile and is pretty sleek--purple floor tile, grey walls, white pedestal sink, all brushed chrome/stainless fixtures and accessories. With a 5 year old, we need a backsplash of some sort. Can't believe we all neglected to think of this! Can you help? I can get the contractor to do the installation; I'm just not sure what kind? Thank you!

I bought some polymer type of filler called liquid cement that I used to fill in a crack in walkway to my house. This shrank and cracked.
I have seen concrete that came in a tube with which you use a caulk gun. I like this approach.
However most concrete is gray in color and I need a whitish or sidewalk sort of color. I was told by a guy who was working on a neighbors foundation there are such tubes you can buy but you need to know where to purchase them as they are not found in Lowe's or Home Depot.
Thanks for any advice.
Peter

Hydrangeas blue? I guess everyone has different soil, but I live in the midwest, USA

The nursery wants to sell me some scary sounding chemically thing that I would just as soon not add to the environment.

Also, does anyone know the name of the red hydrangea and does it require special care. I saw one that was very beautiful.
