I have heard the expression to 'cork' wood. I think it means to fill in holes. Is this right? How do you do it? What do you need? Is it easy?

we had a realtor come over and we had a set price we wanted to sell our house for. she showed us what other houses were selling for in the area and wanted us to stay within that amount. she never looked at our house and took in consideration all the upgrades. we felt compelled to accept a lower amount to be marketed. I know there is a $500 fee for canceling but do I have like 3 days to do it without a fee.

Just had a set of taps put on at home by a call-out plumber, and when I asked how long the work will be guaranteed for, he just laughed and then said, Why? What's going to go wrong?"
Surely this is a sensible question?

When I reach the bottom of the detergeant bottle, the recessed collar around the easy pour spout traps some liquid. Now, a cynical person might suggest that the company is trying to get you to buy another bottle sooner!
I pierce a hole in the bottom corner of the plastic bottle and let the remaining liquid pour out while I hold the cap under the hole. Try a phillips screwdriver or the point of a pair of sharp scissors!
It always comes out to be enough liquid for one more load of laundry...what do you think?

I have two units..one on the ceiling & one plug in unit. 1st the ceiling one went off & we changed the battery, then the floor one & we moved it for a while. After an hour, the ceiling one went off again, but not the floor one...Should I be concerned? We are not running the heat, but we are using the a/c & have forced air. No gas stove or oven...only other gas run appliance is my clothes dryer & we are not running it now. Could this be a false reading somehow? Should I be concerned & is there anything I should do or could do to be sure that my family is safe?
