It's true. But what's even more annoying, is when you've cooked something in a huge pan, and you fill it up with water so the food doesn't stick to the sides, and people INSIST on putting their dirty cutlery INTO the pan, which has now turned into smelly sledge, and the pan is too big to lift to pour the sludge out, so you have to stick your arm in up to the elbow to get all the cutlery out!!! EWWWWWW!!

For the same reason as when you drop your toast it lands on the carpet marmalade side down... Its called Murphies law. but then Murphy will tell you ,that you put the marmalalade on the wrong side in the first place.
By that recconing, maybe you should washup the tea spoons first seperately Good question bye the way

i usually feel around the basin with my hand before i let all the water out. if i find something then i can wash it and then let the water out.

True, I always have a teaspoon in my washing up bowl after I think I've done, were does it come from, is it yours, have you one missing, I swear I didn't use one yesterday.

its because the spoon is so light. When you swirl the water around to check there is nothing else to be done, it gets caught up in the currant and moves with the water.
