I need new gutters, but it's also about time to get the roof replaced. Which should I do first? If I do the gutters first then then its possible the gutters would get screwed up by the roofers as I've got about 4 old roofs up there that I'll want removed before they put a new roof on. On the other hand, if I do the roof first then when they put the new gutters on they will have to lift the first row of shingles to attach the roof therefore possibly messing up the roof.

Thoughts?

I sort-of had the impression that Legionnaires' Disease is when recirculated warm water and air get infected. Our hot water tank is a distance from the shower room, if I insulate the hot water pipes they will waste less heat when we run the water, or is this dangerous?

My computer's surge protector indicates that the sockets at my house are not properly grounded. I'd like to try to ground them myself. I've heard one can do so by securing the ground wire to a water pipe. The trouble is, my water comes from a well on my property and the water pipes in my house are all constructed of PVC! Is there another way? Thanks very much!

I have four sunflowers outside my house, and just yesterday they were really bad. My husband got stung by one. I have two little girls and I have never been stung before. I am allergic to mosquito’s, so you can only figure that I don't want to get stung. I will get rid of the sunflowers if it is whats bringing them here. We spraied for them last night and I have already seen a lot of them. I am afriad to go outside my house, this morning I went out side for not even a minute and had one flying around my head! please help me out here!

*the sunflowers are about to bloom!*

I have put this off for a year now. I wont have any problem picking a color. I just dont feel like moving furniture, going to work every other day while I am doing it, spackling nail holes, taping , etc... I feel like I am being lazy but there are so many other fun things to do that I put it off. But when I see a pretty comforter or bedspread I want to buy it and work the color around it. Help motivate me.....

Funny question I know- but apperently the house prices are at and all time low for 30 years.
Anyway my situation is i'm 25 and have no deposite but have a good job and good credit- this will be my first house and might beable to get a graduate mortgae, i'm thinking of asking my parents to help me out.
I thought it was a really good Idea but now I'm wondering if its better to keep renting and save up for a deposite- the only thing is when I get there the house prices will have risen. I live in an area where its really cheap to buy but I dont really see myself here in 3 years- so Do I buy a house an rent rooms or do I stay as I am and save money- what do you think?

I want to put drywall over old ugly plaster in a bedroom-wall and ceiling. The current cost if I hired professionals is around $2.50/sq ft. How much cheaper would it be to do it myself and for those of you who have played with drywall is it worth the trouble.
