To save yourself from further stress, just replace it, it is not expensive. If you cannot do that, get some epoxy made for plastic and make a temporary repair. If the area is dry, you could wrapping ti very well with many layers of plastic electrical tape.

"Down pipe???" Don't know what that is but if it is plastic and has a hole in it then just replace it.You could use all purpose PVC glue to seal it(the kind for wet pipes) but it will look terrible,and only cost a little less than a new part.

now is that a down pipe or a up pipe it depends entirely on which it is going up or down if its down try your foot if its up try your foot. But be sure to take it out of your mouth first. ? what is a down PIPE
