I am buying a house and I LOVE the color scheme but want to lose the borders. How can I get rid of the cheesy borders but keep the luscious color? Help please! THANKS!

Use a steamer with a liquid solvent. It helps to soak the solvent into the wallpaper with a sponge first and then steam. Pull the wallpaper off; avoid using a scraper. This will cause the least damage to the paint.

Get a I think it's called a Tiger scorer (it leaves little marks in the border, you just roll it on, and get some DIF gel and spray it on --- or just mix some vinegar with HOT water....

neither should harm the paint - I did the same thing in about 7 rooms the borders were extremely cheesy!!!!!

Steamers are okay for wallpaper - I always got that steam burn after awhile..

Mix 1/2 vinegar to 1/2 water in a spray bottle. Spray the border, let soak in for a few minutes and it should easily peel off.

You can either steam it off or use a commercial wallpaper remover spray. If you don't have a steamer use your clothes iron, but keep it 6 inches away from the wall and just steam it. Good luck! ;)

no you can not just spray it and it will come off... you must first score the wall paper with a scoring machine available in most hardware stores. once you have scored it you can use the commercial removers or a solution of half fabric softener and warm water..... using the steamer is last resort... it is messy and not fun to do when its hot....

You can buy this gel spray, Ziff I think, and spay it on and it peels right off. They sell it in paint and hardware stores.
