Im tired of my room being dark and dull............i want it to be a place that my bffs would like to hang out

I would really encourage the wall mural idea. We did one in my daughter's room and everyone loves it. All of her friends think it is the coolest thing.
Another thing to look into is lighting. Most people stick a light in the middle of the room and consider it done. I spent some time 'designing' the light in my living room and the effect is very dramatic. I have lights in glass blocks along the top of the bookcases (<$10 each from Ikea) and several small spot and reading lamps in strategic locations around the room (<$20 each from Ikea/Lowe's/Home Depot). They are all low wattage, which means I can link them all to the same light switch. It isn't bright, it is more warm and comfortable, which is even better. Well worth the time and effort.

Go buy tons of fabric and pillows in rich deep colors like pinks, purples, oranges... drape some over your bed from the ceiling like a tent. Put tons of pillows on the bed and on the floor. Paint the walls a deep purple with orange trim. You could even ask your mom if you could spay the furniature gold- Voila! Your own arabian castle!

HI ! i love decorating rooms and i think some really cool ideas would be getting birght colored candle holders or jewlery holders, make your walls white and get a pin board and put bright and colorful pictures on it of your friends, fashion or even your own art or if your allowed on your wall also get fairy lights and bright colored blankets! hope this helps

YEa there is you can pick one of your favorite color and paint it over in it. then you can get some poster of your fav. artist actor and actress to hang it up on your wall and you can have a board with you and your friends together. get nice light curtains and two soft cushion so u can sit or you can also create a nice food bar to eat and hang out with make sure you have a section of CD to listen to

make it "beachy" get a hawaiian type comforter and sheets, buy some mirrors and glue shells around the edge, buy some "beachy" pictures. I think that is always fun, I did it to my room and I LOVE IT!
