Your best bet is 4" vinyl base, which is easily cut and handled, and will adhere well to your wall with Liquid Nail right out of a caulking gun.

One thing that would probably work is a large piece of plexi glass, drill 4 small holes, and then attach it to your wall with anchors.
It will look tidy & it is easy to clean

going to assume you mean some sort of rubber like border at the bottom of the wall... you can get it at Home Depot you can get the lenght you need in the style or color that best matches your home...

Either nail on a wooden baseboard or install rubber or vinyl base.
