Should I use the solar panels to heat water or to store electricity, or both? How much will it cost for a 2 bedroom flat? Can I get a grant - if so how much?

Are these bad for the environment? As they certainly produce a lot of smoke and must have Co2 emmissions.

I would like to know if there are any special precautions I can take to scare off any snakes from the brush, leaves, and wood piles in my yard before I start moving and clearing all of the debri from my yard. I have moved some rotting logs and leaves by riding my mower to make a bunch of sound in hopes to scare any snakes off. I then sit on the riding mower while it is running while I pushed the logs over with a hoe. Now that I have to go in the area on foot to rake up the leaves and other debri, is there a way I can scare any snakes off so I don't get bitten before attempting to enter the area? My riding or push mowers will not fit in between the trees to run over the leaves, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have a huge phobia of snakes of any kind.

I have a small bamboo that has been growing from the leaves for about a year and it is about twice as tall as it was when I bought it. However, the actual stalk of the bamboo is the same height. There seems to be some hardened green paste on the top of the stalk (which was there when I bought it) and I wonder if that has anything to do with the stunted growth. Is there any way for me to get the actuall bamboo stalk to grow and not just the leaves?

I came back to my dorm after summer and discovered that a large mirror had been removed. The mirror (which was about 3 ft tall and 1 ft wide) was originally attached to a closet door (wood with some sort of finish) and left a lot of adhesive residue when removed. How could I hang a new mirror on the door without using something that will damage the wood? I don't want the mirror to fall, but can't use nails, screws, or anything that isn't removable or leaves a hole.

Thanks in advance for your answers! :-)

I like wearing white shirts but lately I noticed these white shirts have yellow underarm stains. I tried using bleach but I can't take it off.

I am almost done finishing my basement off (drywall installed and ready to paint). I installed electrical for lighting and outlets and a little plumbing (one sink) What are the consequences to not getting a building permit? Can normal inspections be made at this point if I were to apply for a permit? I'm very nervous now that I realize i should have applied gotten a permit for this work.

My fav is Fall bcz old things are dying, & others are morphing (hybernating) to wake up in Spring...with new life and new hope.
Fall is a time of reflection and readiness to prepare for the coming cold season.
It's a time that has aromas I love---fireplace smoke, bon-fire smoke, autumn leaves, apple cider, furnaces starting up after being off so long (stirring up the dust in the house), mornings with smells of cooking breakfast, furnaces cranking up while I try to dress quick for school cuz I'm cold, & the smell of coffee & eggs on my daddy's face when he kisses me goodbye on his way to work. The smell of wood floor wax & chalky erasers spelling out that school is starting again. Even the exhaust of the school bus.
The sound of leather hitting leather & the smell of leather in the crisp fall air, that spells f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l.

I have been given some trees which I have to dig up. One is a live oak about 10-12 feet tall, 6 inches in diameter. Is it feasible to even attempt moving that one? Or should it just be cut down?
