In my area, we have lots of mature trees. The summertime buzz of "Locusts" is overwhelming. I think they are actually called "Ccadas" You cannot even hear a conversation outside, and they occasionally wake me up when I am inside. Can I ask my city to spray for them? What might I do to thin out their ranks?

Does a shower squeegee really keep a shower cleaner? Or is it just another way women try and torture their significant others by giving them a job to do before they get out and dry off? ;-)

JRSD225 Maytag/JennAir ice despenser only hums and does not dispense ice after cleaning freezer compart and ice cube tray does not fill completely with water. This is a followup after Spocks answer (thanks! Spock). Everything was working perfectly until we emptied and cleaned the freezer compartment. Now the ice cube tray only fills partially but still makes ice with the water that is available. Its like the flow is too slow or the flow cycle is too short. When the ice lever is depressed, the auger motor hums like it has a locked roror, but the auger does not turn. Im wondering if maybe water condensed on the drive mechanism in the motor box and froze. The auger can be freely turned by hand. Im about the take the motor box apart to examine its innards.

I need a quote on how much it would cost me be to prime, sand and spray paint a 6000 sq ft basement by a Painting Contractor? I don't need an exact amount just an approximation. It would help me out as most of the Painting Contractors have to come to the house to give an estimate. It would also give me something to go on. I appreciate any help and/or pricing you can give me.

I have an American Spa hot tub probably from the 80's. It has two buttons on the top near the filter, a button for the light and for the jet. The jet button seems to only have one setting. If I press the button once it causes the jets to send out a short burst of bubbles for 5-10 seconds, then stops for 20 seconds, then another burst. On the electrical box down on the side of the tub there is a timer switch and nothing else. I don't see any way to adjust from short pulse to constant jet. Any advice?

I want to mow the field at my home, but it is almost as tall as I am. I have a ride on lawn mower but I still have to cut it all down enough to allow the mower to navigate. I've tried a weed eater but it isnt strong enough to cut down the brush. I know that there are machine's that I can rent that will do what I want but I dont know what they are, or how to use them.

I have 3 bay windows (from ground on up) that I would like to add a few trees in front of to provide a decorative look, and maybe even some shade. I really love Palm trees, but I keep reading that rats are attracted to them. Not sure if this is true, but if this is the case, I definitely dont want them! I am looking for something that requires low-to-middle maintenance and that are not that expensive.

We are remodeling our home and are hoping to sell it in a few months. We are hoping to find a site (or a few) that we can check out what colors are hot right now and get a bunch of ideas for different rooms. Any suggestions?

We have apprx. 1000 sq feet of hardwood in our home (built 1941) that has never been refinished. It's covered in carpet. We've been quoted $2.50 per square foot. I know we have some very knowledgable remodelers out there and any input would be great!

I'm looking for a "wall telephone frame and holder" which was patented by Rubbermaid in 1974.

I've used Yahoo! search, Rubbermaid.com, and eBay in an attempt to find this product online and haven't had any luck.

Does anyone know of another website that might sell this product?
