Is it very a beautiful green?
Maybe a little black horn on it's head area? If so, it's just a tomato plant insect (worm). There's some great pictures in the Ortho Lawn and Garden book that's usually in the stores that have lawn stuff. you can browse for free. Haven't checked for a website since I purchased the hard bound book years ago. The site is ortho.com.
